Tyson Equestrian Business Start-Up
Introduction
Tyson Equestrian is a newly established professional equestrian training business, founded by Benjamin Tyson, a highly respected horse trainer with over 20 years of experience in eventing. After parting ways with his former business partner at Cargil Tyson, Benjamin set out to build his own brand from the ground up, focused on professionalism, expertise, and a deep connection to the equestrian community.

The Challenge
The key challenge was to create a strong, independent brand presence in a new geographic area without the legacy recognition from the previous business. This required:
- Developing a complete brand identity for “Tyson” that would stand on its own
- Building immediate brand awareness and trust
- Attracting a targeted equestrian audience
- Launching everything within a tight one-month deadline
Deliverables included the logo, visual identity, brand guidelines, website, and Meta social media setup, along with digital marketing strategy and ad campaigns to drive early visibility.

The Design Process
The project began with foundational branding elements:
- Logo Design: Created a professional, elegant logo reflecting the premium nature of equestrian sport
- Color Scheme & Mood Board: Developed a palette rooted in tradition, professionalism, and rural lifestyle
- Brand Guidelines: Documented logo usage, typography, color application, and tone of voice to maintain consistency
With the visual identity in place, I designed and launched:
- A responsive website with a landing page, optimised for mobile and designed to convert
- A Facebook business page to reconnect with Benjamin’s existing audience and reach new followers
- A blog section to improve search engine visibility (SEO) through content marketing
Featured Campaign: “3 Years to 3 Star”
As part of the launch, I developed a signature campaign titled “3 Years to 3 Star”, highlighting Benjamin’s specialty:
Training young, green horses and developing them to competition-level eventers within three years.
This campaign aimed to:
- Showcase Benjamin’s long-term training philosophy and proven methods
- Build trust and credibility with horse owners looking to invest in the future of their horses
- Visually document the journey from green horse to competitive eventers, through blog updates, testimonials, and content series
- Position Tyson Equestrian not just as a service, but as a long-term training program with measurable results
- The campaign added depth to the brand’s messaging and positioned Benjamin as a mentor and specialist in horse development, not just day-to-day training.
In parallel, I created and ran targeted Meta ad campaigns, designed to reach equestrian enthusiasts in the new location. The campaigns emphasized Benjamin’s experience, offered referral-based incentives, and featured strong visual storytelling aligned with the new brand.

Results
The Tyson Equestrian launch was a success on multiple fronts:
- Social media accounts gained strong, relevant engagement, with followers consisting of equestrian professionals, horse owners, and local eventing enthusiasts
- The referral-based incentive campaign helped generate organic growth from within the horse community
- Blog content improved SEO ranking, and helped position the brand as a thought leader in the equestrian space
- The “3 Years to 3 Star” campaign drove client trust and generated inquiries from owners seeking long-term training for their horses
- Within just two months of launch, Tyson Equestrian was fully booked for the rest of the year
The project is a strong example of combining branding, UX-focused digital design, and campaign strategy to build a meaningful presence, quickly and effectively.

The success
The success of Tyson Equestrian’s launch demonstrates how strategic design and targeted digital marketing can rapidly establish trust, visibility, and conversion, even under tight deadlines.
